We are proud to present From Now On, the second and final release in an extraordinary two-album series by acclaimed jazz musicians Tim Langedijk and Paul Berner. Recorded during a focused two-day session at Studio 2, MCO Hilversum, both albums capture the intimate, acoustic essence of their musical connection using just a single microphone, the exceptional Josephson C700S.
Pure Music, Pure Sound
After decades of honing their craft, both Langedijk and Berner have reached a level of musical maturity where less truly becomes more. Living in close proximity in Haarlem, the Netherlands, they began collaborating informally, stripping away effects, amplification, and studio trickery to focus solely on their instruments and musical dialogue. As these acoustic sessions deepened, so did their musical synergy.

Minimalism with Maximum Emotion
Following the spirit of their first release, From Now On offers a compelling mix of songs all rendered with remarkable subtlety and grace. Tim and Paul reinterpret material by Paul McCartney, Chris Cornell, Bon Iver, The Rolling Stones, and The Beatles, alongside their own original compositions. Each piece is given fresh life through their refined, minimalist approach. Songs like Re: Stacks, Jenny Wren, and Black Hole Sun are transformed into something entirely new — lyrical, spacious, and emotionally compelling. This is music distilled to its core: unembellished, honest, and deeply resonant.

Engineered by the renowned Frans de Rond, the album was recorded with full phase coherence, superior realism, and an expansive stereo image, qualities made possible by the Josephson C700S three-capsule stereo microphone.
